NYFW Outfits #2 and #3

Outfit #2

Hi everyone! Just sharing a few additional behind the scenes photos from NYFW. I didn’t bring my camera this time, so I apologize for the slightly grainy iphone images. (Does anyone have suggestions on upgrading the iphone 7S camera – whether via app or snap on enhancer? ) Anyways, as I always say, one of the best parts of fashion week is being able to meet designers, network with some fabulous fellow bloggers and fashionistas, and meet new people who share the same passions. I was lucky to meet up with my friend, Maria, of Tasty Southern Chic blog – I met her and her talented photographer sister, Lura, at last year’s Leanne Marshall show and we hit it off right away. Wish she didn’t live so far away! I also had the pleasure of meeting a fabulous fashionista, Emily of the blog, ‘What Em Wore“. Be sure to check out both of their stylish blogs!

More front row views and videos of the Leanne Marshall coming up this week.

Also, there is a story behind this bell sleeved dress. I wanted to thank Saks Fifth Avenue for its’ recent amazing high-end designer sale. I have been such a fan of the British designer, Roksanda, for years now. And when two of her pieces became available on the Saks sale online in my size – I knew I had to invest. I literally got this bell sleeve dress and another bell sleeve top (debuting in a future post) for 70% off retail. I added a pink coat, pink pumps, and my YSL bag to enhance the subtle pink accents of this dress. Be sure to check out Saks Fifth Avenue for some hidden treasures and fantastic designer variety!

One of the shows I attended at NYFW, Chi Zhang, was actually held aboard the famous Intrepid Museum. I had been to a party in previous years on the dock of the ship and was very excited about getting to experience another event. This designer was a bit too cutting edge for my personal tastes, but I have never been to a more entertaining show. The models literally danced in the beginning of the show and while walking the runway. The house music was incredible and the venue was breathtaking. I rented this revealing Proenza Shueler dress from Rent the Runway and paired with my favorite investment piece of the year, a J.Crew faux pink coat. My Dolce and Gabbana sequin pumps enhanced the glamour of the look.

Stay tuned for reviews of the NYFW shows that I attended!

Hope you have a wonderful day.
