Over the weekend, New York’s streets were a runway for models, fashion bloggers, fashionistas, designers, and fashion lovers alike. I enjoyed seeing some of the looks from the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 collections. A big trend seemed to be pairing structured, button down shirts with statement skirts; patterned, lace, fringed, voluminous, pencil and zippered. This is a look that I will definitely be incorporating into my wardrobe for both the fall and the spring season. I also loved the debut of airy, chiffon dresses and floral dresses paired with sophisticated pumps or heeled sandals. I just got a pair of snakeskin pumps similar to the street style look in picture #9. Can’t wait to wear them in the fall with skinny jeans and charcoal sheath dresses!

Simple and Polished

I seem to be drawn to black and white looks for the fall/spring seasons. Especially, when there is a mix of textures and materials. For example, the fashionista in picture #4 gets it right with a white wool pencil skirt with slit combined with a fresh button down shirt and a leather jacket. Something about this look is so effortless and chic. What are your favorite NYFW street style looks?

I hope you have a great day!

Great selection! I see a lot of lace, A-line skirts, and button down shirts! I’ve been wanting to try out an ensemble that’s androgynous meets femme fatale so your post really gave me some inspiration for that! My favorite is the red dress with the color block detailing at the arms. So minimalistic yet chic! :)
